Holiday Cuti Cuti Malaysia - Ipoh

بِسْمِ-اللهِ-الرَّحْمنِ-الرَّحِيم ~

Sebenarnya jalan jalan kat Ipoh neh dah lama, tetapi tidaklah selama wedding hari itu. Takde plan pun nak bercuti, it's just that kitorang pergi wedding sepupu aku kat Taiping so Zaid decided to stay 1 night around that place. Kitorang ada 2 choices, either nak pergi Pineng or Ipoh. Masa tu jalan nak ke Utara memang jammed. Tak sure adakah sebab weekend atau sebab cuti sekolah ataupun memang begitu keadaaannya. Hence, I told Hubsy, kita pun tak apply cuti hari isnin, kita pergi Ipoh jela since Ipoh lagi dekat nak balik KL. I was afraid kalau pergi Pineng, nanti Ahad nak balik KL jammed nak mamp then sampai KL lewat dan penat pastu nak kerja lagi keesokkan harinya.

Taktau la mata aku ke apa tapi ya Allah chans gils pelamin sepupu aku neh. Kitorang sampai pun dah lambat sebab nak sampai Taiping pun jammed gils jugak. Wedding dia was on 17th of March 2018. 

Long story short, we went to Ipoh. It was good, it was a fun-filled experience. Walaupun kitorang tak pernah pergi Ipoh, tapi Alhamdulillah kitorang stay dekat hotel yang sekitarnya ada few interesting places which is just a stone-throw away.

1. The Happy 8 Retreat, Ipoh

We stayed at The Happy 8 Retreat Ipoh sebab hotel dia menarik and ada few choices of room but since we did not make any reservation (blame the Hubsy since he told me on the very last minute that we will be spending a night there) so we luckily managed to get a room there. At first I was not quite happy but it only lasted for 15 minutes.

The hotel is mesmerizing. The decor is well-thought because every inch of the place is decorated. Kitorang tau la sebab kitorang dah jelajah 1 hotel hahahahhaa. Walaupun bilik kitorang macam kecik sikit but it was cozy, even the bedroom is well-decorated and quite spacious too but I forgot to take a picture of the bathroom.

 

They even gave us a map of interesting places around the hotel. Zaid wanted to ride a bike but he did not tell me that dia nak kayuh then bini dia dok belakang. I thought he wanted to rent 2 bikes. Aku dah lama tak naik basikal so I was not confident, lagi jalan padat dengan orang dengan kereta lagi so it is better for us to walk. Alah dekat jela tak sempat penat pun.

Dedua belum mandi tapi lapar nak breakfast dulu.

The breakfast was complimentary and it was good too. Tengok menu macam tak best tapi bila sampai eh sedap pulak.

Dalam bilik kitorang ada sportlight okay, that's why gambar cantek. Betul betul well-prepared orang hotel neh. Tau kepentingan sportlight untuk selfie.

So ready nak jalan jalan!

2. Ipoh ShellABration

Ini kitorang pergi the night we stayed at the hotel. I was hungry, Zaid too, so alang aland dah sampai Ipoh nakla makan apa yang best kat Ipoh kan. So googled and found this place. 12 out of 10 won't go again walaupun lapar gils nak mamp and kedai itu je ada, aku akan memilih untuk kebuluran.

Kenapa?

Servis lambat. It took even an hour to even have the drink. Zaid ordered Teh O ais je kot, & I ordered air suam. & masa tu tak ramai orang pun, ada la 3 4 meja family. 

Portion sikit and mahal. I asked the waitress, ini untuk berapa orang makan? She answered for 3 pax. I was like wah murahnya RM35 boleh makan sampai 3 orang. After almost 2 hours, then the food arrived but I am full already, full with anger. Memang tidak selayaknya dia cakap untuk 3 orang makan or memang orang Ipoh makan sikit taktau la. Ketam ada 1 and kecik, udang pun ada 3 ke, kecik jugak, sotong lupa da tak, lepas tu selebihnya clam. Selayaknya sorang makan je. I tell you what, I've been to numerous shellout imitation and ini adalah paling teruk and sangat tak recommended untuk pergi. Siap ada rasa hangit kot. Shellout kat Enjoy's corner lagi sedap RM45 siap ada 2 ketam besar, udang besar, sotong, clams jagung and sedap plak tu and betul boleh makan 2 3 orang.

Sapelah tulis review cakap tempat neh recommended, baik korang mintak maaf. Menipu eh korang.

3. Miniature Wonders Art Gallery

Next we went to Miniature Art Gallery yang ada dekat depan hotel tu je. Takde plan pun nak pergi tapi Zaid nampak so he insisted so why not kan?

Ini bahagian bawah, bahagian bawah free je.

Ini bahagian atas, kalau nak naik atas kena bayar RM5 sorang. Alah RM5 apalah sangat. Out of curiosity kitorang berdua pun naiklah. I am not that into history tapi Zaid is. Maka beliau lah yang seronok naik sini.

The model was made with flour. Yes you heard me, gandum adik adik semua. Aku mampu buat cek mek je guna gandum, dia boleh buat sculptur. Yelah, bakat orang lain lain kan. 

4. Funtasy House Trick Art

Ini pun dekat je dengan hotel. Dalam 2 block jalan kaki dah sampai. Entrance fee RM15 per person. I was reluctant to enter it at first sebab nampak kecik je, shop lot macam tu je kan. I went to Rumah Terbalik dekat KL Tower, it was quite small so macam menyesal la bayar kan. Tapi dah sampai kan, masuk jela.

I surprised myself at how big it was. It was 2 storeys and besar kot. Banyak trick art dia buat. Sampai mengah mengah aku nak amik gambar kat semua tempat. We were lucky sebab ada sorang staff situ ikut je kitorang and siap bagi suggestion nak pose cane. Dari mula mula sampai the last trick art dia ikut. Aku tengok orang lain dia tak ikut pun. Ke I was supposed to tips her? Dah sebulan baru dapat enlightenment ke hahahahahha

The happier person than me was of course Zaid. Suka benor dia amik gambar. Dia yang lagi excited semua pun nak amik gambar.

Memang berbaloi. Then nanti ada separate booth untuk print gambar. Nanti bluetooth je dengan orang tu hahahaha. Serius la memang bluetooh kot.

Penat tapi berbaloi la. Seronok kot aktiviti bergambar neh.

5. Concubine Lane (Dekat dengan Plan B)

Masa Ana cakap pergilah Plan B kalau pergi Ipoh. I told her, Plan B kat KL pun ada. Bila sampai rupanya Plan B tu dekat Concubine Lane. So Concubine Lane tu ada attraction macam Street Market where you can find the ais kepal, roti pelangi etc. Aku nak try roti pelangi tapi it was full house and I am not a patient person so tak try hahaha tengok orang try je.

I did not take a lot of picture at the concubine lane because ramai orang sangat. Penat. Dia macam tourist attraction kan, so ada banyak benda macam fridge magnet semua tu. 

6. Gerbang Malam

Actually ini kitorang singgah masa lepas dinner dekat ShellABration tu. Hahahha dia macam Uptown je so sebab mrah tak hilang lagi masak dinner so tak amik gambar jugak. Ingat singgah sini nak beli kudap kudap ke kan tapi takde. So jalan jelah. Beli fridge magnet 1.

7. Aeon Kinta City

Hahahahhahahahahaha ini sebab nak lunch tapi takut pergi bukan bukan ikut suggestion google nanti tak sedap pulak. Bagi sesiapa yang taktau, aku dulu belajar kat Matrik Gopeng, Perak. So kalau outing mesti pergi sini atau Ipoh Parade. Oh ya, I went to Ipoh Parade tu tapi kejap je tak ingat buat apa. Dulu sini panggil JJ sampai taktau nama sebenar dia apa hahahaha.

So dinner dekat Johny's. Dulu masa belajar dekat UTM Johor, selalu jugak pergi Johny's. Masa tu rasa macam mahal jugak sebab mungkin belajar lagi kan. Tapi hari tu pergi eh kenapa macam murah. Patutla ramai suka Johny's kan. So selepas 5 tahun plus minus tak makan kat Johny's, rasa sedap jugek haha. Zaid was a first timer, and dia pun suka.

9 out of 10 memang best pergi Ipoh. Taktau pulak Ipoh memang banyak tempat best. Kalau pergi lama sikit mungkin boleh pergi Hollywood dengan Pulau apa entah Zaid nak pergi tapi aku dah malas sebab dah Ahad and dah petang. Next time ye, Sayang hiks.
